SUMMER 2000 NEWSLETTER
(Covering the Months of June through August)
Nate Hartke:
So, for 8 weeks this summer, our
friend Nate Hartke traveled with us and drove the Limo Van some
l-o-n-g distances. Nate schlepped equipment, stayed awake, drove
van, stayed awake, sold cd's, stayed awake, and made us laugh, which
kept us awake. We couldn't have survived the summer without him,
and we wish him the best as he heads back to school for religious
studies. Here are his answers to the 20 or so questions . . .
Born on: July 27, 1976 (making
him a Leo, another fire sign)
Born in: Shelbyville, Illinois (and all manner of thing Shelbyville)
Places lived: Pana, Illinois; Indianapolis, Indiana; Ft.
Wayne, Indiana; Ann Arbor, Michigan; Warren, Michigan; and in a
radical move out of the Tri-state area, St. Louis, Missouri
Siblings: brothers Timothy, Matthew, Andrew, Jeremy, Joshua,
Jonathan; sister Sarah (one of these things is not like the other)
Three Favorite Hobbies: Fantasy Sports; coaching softball;
darts Three favorite books: "The Lady and The Tiger," though the
author's name escapes him; "A Time to Kill," John Grisham; "The
Notebook," Nicholas Sparks
Favorite color: yellow; he does enjoy looking at the color
yellow, and I don't need to point out that yellow is a very Lion-like
color, do I?
Favorite fast food restaurant: Taco Bell Order there: nachos
supreme, no tomatoes, and a hard and soft taco, small Dr Pepper
to drink
Favorite Starbucks drink: Venti drip, which he calls "twenty-ty"
College Major: Mathematics (see previous answer)
If he could live at any time in any place he picks: Florence,
Italy in 1450's (though he's going to have to work on those Italian
numbers if he's going to rub elbows with the locals)
If he could live anywhere in the U.S, he picks: San Diego,
California (though he's never been there)
Favorite Football team: Notre Dame Fightin' Irish (a natural
answer for a Leo from Michigan might include a little team out of
Detroit that always plays on holidays, but oh well)
Favorite Soda: Dr Pepper
If he could have any car available today, he picks: 1996
2-door, Chevrolet Beretta
He says the most pressing problem facing the world today is:
the possibility that Al Gore might be elected president
When asked "how does it feel when you look at the moon?" he says:
"I do not look at the moon" (After all, lions look at the sun, right?)
