We might be coming back to Ames in February.
nicki asks: Does L&F plan on playing at the LYO national gathering in Atlanta, GA this coming summer just like they did in St. Louis?
Michael: yes we do!
Michael: I'm not sure we'll play the same songs, but we do hope to be there.
Michael: Nicki, where are you?
nicki asks: That's excellent.... I'm hoping to be able to chaperone a group this year.
Wendy asks: Would you guys ever ride backs around America again?
Michael: Hey wendy!
Michael: No, we don't have time to ride bikes right now
Michael: we have to use airplanes
Hiye asks: We know that George has been sick and I am just wondering- how the treatment has been going?
George: the treatment has been troublesome
George: but, it's nearly over

markbogen asks: I don't understand the words to Elijah. Could you say something about that song?
Michael: It's a song about the prophet
George: elijah

Michael: The idea is that we could use a little of that miracle exhibited by Elijah when God showed how God can create abundance out of even just a little
Michael: The woman said, "we only have a little oil and food left."
Michael: doesn't that sound familiar?

Michael: Yes, it is quite different

Jodi asks: Have you started writing new songs for the next project? What is your writing process?
Michael: We wait and write all at once, the songs sort of build up before they get out on paper or CD

George: i have all sorts of different memories
George: oh, you mean the song?
George: the song, "your memory," is sort of a conglomeration of different things and people.
George: cheifly, i had in mind the death of my brother, the death of my godfather (george hampton) and a little girl in texas named hope
George: also, there's some influence of freinds who were going through a divorce
Melissa asks: have you have heard of camp lutherlyn in PA?
Michael: Yes,, we have been to Lutherlyn
Wand Girls asks: And George do you teach keyboard or piano?
George: i don't think i'd have the patience for it

Michael: They make me think more about song writing and less about having the room dark and using spotlights

Michael: I have a GRACELAND SHIRT

Sarah asks: were you saved when you entered college and if so how did you know God was calling you to that college?
Michael: Yes
Michael: I just decided to go and somehow in God's wisdom, God made a good thing out of it
George: i think my financial aid advisor was calling me to that particular college, actually
Michael: I am very happy with my decision to go to that school
Michael: God was with me there like God is with me anywhere and everywhere
George: yes, in hindsight, i was glad with my choice
Michael: How does one ever know the exact will of God?
Michael: Sometimes you just do your best and take opportunities that are available and trust that God will work through you and your choice--despite ourselves
Mysto asks: Will you guys be coming through North Carolina anytime soon?
Michael: We were there three weekends in August
markbogen asks: Why did you choose Saskatchewan as the topic for your song about Canada?
Michael: It is in Canada
George: and it's got a whole lot of syllables in it
Michael: We played there and had a great time
Michael: The topic of our song about Canada is "cultural moments" with LOST AND FOUND
Michael: Really the point is the place we are playing that night we sing it
George: can't sing the word yukon for very long
Michael: But it does actually rhyme with "Rocking On."
George: yes, i guess yukon
George: uh-oh
Michael: You con and on and on and on
George: i think we've got to rewrite a verse
George: it's one of TWO that rhymes with rocking on
Michael: perhaps a new song called "None of it."
Michael: That's an easy fix

Michael: More than fit in our van at one time
Michael: So, over 100
George: i thought we only had 6 cd's?
George: i better ask ryan

Michael: I know they are heavy, because we have to carry them in and out of the concerts
Michael: So, perhaps a million??
George: each night?

George: probably not a speedwood 4. the reason is, our gearbox only goes up to third speed. thing is, we record every single concert, so there's not much need for more speedwood albums

Michael: Not enough space between the songs, I agree
George: or do you mean the hidden tracks

Michael: Was it a challenge?
childofGod asks: Yes it was challenge. What had the biggest impact on you there?
Michael: The people who were there were like a face of Christ to us in lots of ways from hospitality to friendship
Michael: It was like being with 7,000 friends in the presence of God
Michael: Sounds cheesy, but we love you guys
Wand Girls asks: Do you guys ever get really tired or sick?
George: we're sick and tired of being sick and tired. but, everyone's got to work, right?
George: sometimes we get sick while traveling
Michael: I am tired right now
George: but playing the concerts is actually a respite in those times
Michael: we slept two hours after singing in Colorado last night
Michael: Now we are in Minnesota
